 Hi guys, This week Reading and writing have been linked. For our reading we had to Follow instructions. I chose to draw instructions on how to draw a penguin. I named him Willy.B. Haiku poem

 Hi Guys!! Its me again. This week in reading we were focusing on poems. For our create we could either do a rhyming poem OR a haiku poem. I chose to do a haiku poem which is 5 syllables, 7 syllables and then 5 syllables again. Our poem had to be based of nature. So i decided to base mine of summer and how everything is so bright. Sophie Pascoe reading lockdown

 Kia ora and welcome back to my blog. This week in lockdown we have been working on what a growth mindset is and who are some people that have shown grit, perseverance and a growth mindset! I choose Sophie pascoe because even though she has lost her leg and got alot of hate when she was growing up she never have up she keeped on going and never looked back. She keeped on trying to become a better swimmer and now she has become on of New Zealand's best Paralympic swimmers.

in pursuit of happiness

Kia ora and welcome back to my blog. For the past  2 weeks!! we have been learning about the pursuit of happiness. This includes Your Mental, Spiritual, Social, Physical & Emotional well being. 

I have chosen to draw the peace sign because to me the circle means eternity. I think i am very good at my physical well being because i think i have the ability to maintain a healthy quality life. I also think i am able to get the most out of my daily activities. I am trying to work on my social well being because  i don't think i treat everyone with respect and i do need to work on that. 

Izzy.mott Kiwi Kids new article Reading Week 8 Term 2

Good afternoon bloggers! This week in reading we have had to choose 3 different articles all in different categorises. I have done one in sports one, an odd stuff and one and National health. This was a level four reading goal. these were all found in Kiwi Kids News. Our goal was Select from a wide range of genre when reading independently. If you could change anything from these three articles what would it be? Have you ever read any articles from Kiwi Kids News?

Swimming NZ to send 7 swimmers to Tokyo Olympics

First off the name isn't very eye catching. I reckon they could off used a name like:  New Zealand has sent 7 incredible swimmers to the Tokyo Olympic  games!! 

I loved reading this article because i have an interest in  swimming myself. I have found this article  very interesting cause i have now got the names and the events of each swimmer that is representing our country in the Tokyo Olympics. 

 I loved the way the display was set out. The article gave me everything i needed to know about the Olympic swimmers. It had the events they are entered in and the events they have done in the past. It had weather or not they had one a silver, gold or bronze medal before and even if it was their first time going.

Odd stuff: 

Man claims to have been by a whale 

I loved reading this article because funny and entertaining cause the man claims he was in the whales mouth for 30 seconds but he was still able to breath. That is because he still had his apparatus on. 

I liked the way the article was set out. i liked how he said how he felt and what he was thinking when he was inside the whale. I loved how he claimed he tried to save himself before the whale released him.

National health:

Trump says no to virtual debate. 

Again like all the other articles i like the display format. I quite liked the way how author included everything we needed to know about Trump Perspective and everything we needed to know about Biden's Perspective all in a different paragraph. 

I liked how they included that the debate was going to be cancelled ever since Trump got diagnosed with Covid-19. 

Although the debate didn't happen i still think trump didn't want to do the debate because he knew he was going to lose. But look how that turned out.

statistical investigation

This week in maths we have created a statistical investigation. I decided to go with the easy and do the one Mrs Henderson put out for us.  Some things that we had to include in our maths were variables, a graph and the info and last but not least a statement to some up everything.  If you are wondering a statistical investigation is going around and asking people a question the involves your task. Then use that info and create a graph / statement.

This week in writing we have created a pa. This is because this term our P.B.L driving question is: How does establishing a deeper connection with our Turangawaewae help us to discover ourselves. 

This week in reading we have made a site for our pa, this includes the price, the view point and much more. 

This week in maths we have created pa. We measured the area and perimeter to make our pa to the desired  length.
